Manny Iriarte visits Reyes Family Cigars, Little Havana to set up Advertising campaign 2009 . Carlos Diez (President of Reyes Family Cigars) talks about IPCPR'09
While at the 2009 IPCPR show Silo Cigars had a chance to sit and chat with my buddy Frank Santos from Reyes Family Cigars (formerly Puros Indios Cigars).
Silo Cigars has to mention we have a Knoxville Exclusive on the Miami blends and should be in stock soon. We also chatted about the Miami rolled and blended cigars
and how they differ from the cigars they make in Honduras. Sorry for some of the audio but the show was busy and we had a ton of background noise.
One of the best things about this video is that it shows Frank is very passionate about cigars and this company. Silo Cigars hope you enjoy the video and please let us know.
This 4×48 stick offered a big punch at the start offering a medium-full body and strength, only calming down to medium towards the end. Flavors remained very simple and consistent from beginning to end, with strong tobacco notes, a little wood and a little nut at the very end when it got hot. The draw was very loose but it performed flawlessly, offering tons of smooth rich smoke every time. The burn was almost razor sharp all the way down offering a neatly stacked white and light grey ash that fell off every inch. Thank you very much to Reyes Family Cigars for generously donating this stick for review, it’s greatly appreciated!
I always hesitate doing these types of reviews. I never feel comfortable or confident recording a review based on just smoking a cigar one time. There are too many variables when it comes to reviewing cigars and I always try to give a manufacturer the benefit of the doubt and a fair chance to impress me.
Luckily for me, the Cuba Aliados Miami only needed one smoke to get it right and impress me.
Without hesitation I’m going to award the Cuba Aliados Miami The Great Torpedo Golden Seal of Approval. Its legit. There is something special about it. While its woodsy (cedar) and peppery flavor profile is a profile we can find in many cigars, there is something uniquely refined in the Miami that sets it apart from crowd.
